(and Why It Chose Me)
People sometimes assume science fiction is about technology.
It isn’t.
It’s about people.
Strip away the starships and distant planets, and what you’re left with are questions we’ve always asked:
Who are we?
What do we become under pressure?
How far would we go to protect what we love?
I’ve always been drawn to stories where characters face impossible decisions — not because they’re heroes, but because they’re human. Science fiction lets me push those moments to extremes. Put someone on a collapsing colony ship, a fractured timeline, or a world on the edge of extinction… and suddenly the emotional stakes become razor sharp.
Starting this writing career feels a little like stepping into one of those stories myself. Uncertainty. Risk. Hope. A future that hasn’t been written yet.
